As human beings, it is completely normal and natural to feel different emotions and gain an understanding of our own environment and the people around us. How we feel and the intensity of our feelings depends on how emotional we are and how self-absorbed we choose to be. Sympathy and empathy comes from within ourselves and not from our environment.
People can say certain things or act in peculiar ways and it is possible to trigger the feelings and emotions that we feel. It does not necessarily have to be that way. These feelings come from within; therefore, it CAN be in our own control! We have to realize, acknowledge, and be aware that we are free to feel the way we want to, but it comes with a small amount of mental discipline.
The next time you waste time sitting and moping around about something, keep in mind that you’re responsible for feeling the way you do and that can be changed. I’m not saying it is easy, but it’s definitely achievable. The first step is always hard in anything you pursue; it just gets easier along the way. The choice is up to you!
